XCR’22 RD 2: ST ANNES WINERY CROSS COUNTRY

A true classic! Winery Cross Country course that squeezes the maximum challenge into each lap.

The XCR’22 Athletics Victoria Cross Country course at St Annes Winery, Ravenswood made for a memorable day of competition for the 31 DVAC athletes and their supporters who made the journey out of town.

The course at St Annes had an elevation gain of 150m over the 4km. There were plenty of sharp dips & rises, twists and turns, stretches of rocky terrain and to top it off a steep uphill climb to the finish line.

After holding on to 9th position for much of the first lap, Shania gave up two positions early in the second lap and held on to 11th place from that point on. Her time for the tough 8km run was 30:44. The DVAC Women Division 2 was completed by Jessica Campbell, 35:28, Vula Sheens, 36:55, and Alana Barnes, 39:00.
