ALLY CLOSING IN ON 800m PB: MILERS CLUB
Ally Brooks (WU16) ran her second fastest 800m at the Meet # 4 of the Victorian Millers Club at the Aberfeldie track on Thursday 9th February. Ally crossed in 2:15.32, less than half a second outside her pb time of 2:14.95. With the Junior Track & Field Championships coming up in the next two weeks, Ally is in great shape to go under the 2:14 mark.
Shania Murray (WOp), 2:21.33, and Felix Morgan (MU14) 2:27.18, did manage to lower their previous best times in Meet #4. Shania won her heat in impressive style.
Caden Murray (MU20) ran 2:00.96 for the 800m.
The Mile races at Aberfeldie attracted a good number of fields. Michael Martello (Mop) 4:26.34 and Joel Imbriano (MU18) 4:56.97 both ran times that suggest their next 1500m will be right up to their best.

ELYSSIA ON THE WAY UP: ADELAIDE INVITATIONAL
Elyssia Kenshole (WU20) has recorded Pole Vault clearances of 4.00m recently in her return to the event after a lengthy break due to injury. At the 2023 Adelaide Invitational on Saturday 11 February Elyssia cleared 4.05m to improve her standing on the national level for the season. The height of 4.05m was equal to the best by the Australian Pole Vaulters at the meet, but after a shaky start in which Elyssia cleared 3.70m on her third attempt, she was listed behind the other two Australians who cleared 4.05m.
Jaryd Clifford (Mop) was not too far off his best time for the 5000m when he finished in 14:08.08 to place 9th. Jaryd, a T12 athlete, has a best time of 14:04.88 and is keen to go under the 14 minute mark before too long. Tim Logan (Mop) finished in 15:03.23.
