GOLD RUSH FOR DVAC AT VIC MASTERS
After an amazing season where both Mens and Womens 40+ teams won AVSL Age Group Premierships the Masters athletes ventured to Doncasterf for the Victorian Masters Athletics Championships held over the weekend.
A Club record of 21 Gold, 10 Silver and 9 Bronze Medals were won by the older Boys and Girls of the Valley.This beat the old record gold medal haul of 20 set two years ago.The Total of 40 Medals is an all time DVAC Masters record.
Lalith Udugampala and Arunan Arumainayagam both competedin an incredible 7 events each with Sarah Gittens 6,Paula Merino 5,Ivan Dodin 5,Bruce Wood 5,Colin Newman 4,Adam Scott 4 and Sarah Papadopoulos 4.
Ivan,Bruce and Colin won 3 Gold Medals each with Briony Rheuben,Sarah Papadopoulos and Lalith Udugampala 2 each.
