Well done to the 31 runners and walkers who joined the first event in the virtual DVAC season. It was great to see current members, family and friends give the 3km a crack.

There was some close competition between family members. Ethan Armstrong-Bourne pipped his dad, Aaron. But we’ll have to wait and see if Aaron can hold off his other young whipper-snapper Logan in the short, sharp 1.5km this weekend. Shania Murray was hot on the heels of brother Caden.  Her time of 10:09, and Caden’s of 9:38 were the fastest women’s and men’s times for the round. Several runners are within reach of the 5min/km pace; Jo Moxon (15:35), Annalise Jones (15:17), Ryan Beale (15:13), and Karen Quinn (15:42). Hopefully, we’ll see some season PBs over the series!

Each round there will be a spot prize for one lucky runner/walker.
