‘HEAVY TRACK’ AT OAKBANK FOR CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP
In racing parlance, the course for the 2022 Australian Cross Country Championships at the picturesque Oakbank Racecourse in the hills of Adelaide, presented runners with a ‘heavy track’. On a tight and technical course, it was the unavoidable patches of mud that tested the ability of athletes to maintain their momentum throughout the journey. The challenges presented did not flatter the finishing times, but most athletes were proud of their ability to perform to their best under difficult circumstances.
The Diamond Valley Athletic Club was well represented at this year’s Championships with 6 members racing. The club is proud of the efforts of each athlete and congratulates them all.
