The successful operation of weekly AVSL relies heavily on the volunteer support of Officials and Club Helpers. At the beginning of the season, DVAC is allocated Club Helper duties to be performed by athletes, family, or friends in five out of the ten rounds. Historically, Max and Lyn have painstakingly coordinated this effort on behalf of the club. If we don't provide a club helper in one of the roles we have been allocated, we will lose Shield points and because of their efforts, we haven't lost any points yet.  This season, we will try an online signup for duties to lessen the load of coordinating volunteers. We will use the Sign Up Genius Platform, which some people who have come through the Little Athletics Ranks might be familiar with. 

Our duties for the AVSL season have been loaded into the signup form, allowing you to consider your support across the season. You can sign up for multiple duties and at different rounds. It would be great if every club member were to commit themselves, a family member or a friend to at least one duty this season. We understand that plans change, so you can change your signup or swap roles with another person anytime. The system will also send you a reminder one or two days before your signed-up duty. We will print the signup sheet and display it at the table in the tent for reference.
