invites you to attend the 2017
‘ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING’
The 2018 Annual General Meeting of the Diamond Valley Athletic Club will be held in the Willinda Park Function Room on Thursday 3rd April commencing at 7pm.
The DVAC will provide a Bar-B-Q prior to the meeting starting at 6:15pm (BYO drinks).
It is important that members understand, contribute and share in the governance of the Diamond Valley Athletic Club.
Reports to be presented will include – President’s overview, Finance, Cross Country, Track & Field, Membership, Coaching, Fundraising, Sponsorship, Social Activities, IT and Merchandise
The Committee composition is as follows:
* PRESIDENT * VICE PRESIDENT * SECRETARY
* TREASURER * GENERAL COMMITTEE POSITIONS X 6
We would welcome new ideas and new faces to be part of forming a dynamic team to lead the Club over the next 12 months and to have a vision looking beyond 2017. There are opportunities to contribute on many different levels and in a variety of ways. Without taking up a permanent committee position members can consider offering their service or being co opted for a specific task and for a specific limited period of time. Committee meetings are friendly, generally quite informal and always ‘open’ to observers and interested members. Committee meetings are usually held on the last Tuesday of each month.
Your attendance at the AGM will NOT place you in the position of being ‘roped into’ being on a committee. The AGM is about our Club and its membership of around 250 people. Please attend, listen to the reports, have your say, help promote a healthy and happy club. Above all, mix with fellow members who share your interest in the greatest athletic club around!
